The Idol – The Idol is the joint creation of Sam Levinson, known as the creator of the wildly successful Euphoria, and Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd. The story follows Jocelyn, a pop diva trying to get back on top of her fame after a high-profile crash. She meets the nightclub owner Tedros, who is both a self-help guru and the leader of a modern cult, and the two develop a complex, erotic and toxic relationship in which it is not clear who is using whom. Tesfaye himself takes on the role of the guru, and Lily-Rose Depp will play the young pop star, torn between her professional ambition and her personal problems.
